Macrography: Waterdrop

Friday, August 30, 2013

Right, so I love doing macros. You know, as they say, taking photos from an insect’s point of view? I never thought I’d go crazy over it. Nah, maybe am not THAT crazy over it, but I fell in love with it. It just made me look at things differently.

Like how this tiny drop of water can look so solid up close. Like you can hold it and roll it at the palm of your strong yet fragile hands. :)

Shire? It’s Batanes, baby!

I’ll be back!

An Open Letter To An Old Visitor

Tuesday, August 20, 2013

With a name like that, I used to think you're cool. And then I saw you threw tantrums, spoiling plans and canceling dates. Was I so wrong? So uncool! And you’re so full of yourself. I remember last year you almost Smashed my Pumpkins dream. Almost. Guess I'm just as stubborn as you. Thought you can stop me, huh? Ha!

Just didn't expect you'd come back. Well, why the hell did you come back? And bringing along a girl with baggages? C'mon!

Well, time to move on. You know you can't bring my girl 'Pinas down. Go away, Habagat! You’re no longer welcome here! And take that Maring with you, will you? We've had enough!

More Dandelions, Baguio

Saturday, August 17, 2013

Look at them wishies, some already flew. Others waited for their photo op. Dandelions are my favorite things to photograph. Most of them I found on the cold streets of Baguio.

They’re so tiny and rare. And they look like miniscule sparklers on the ground! So precious. Will never get enough of.

San Diego Pro-Cathedral, Silay City, Negros Occidental

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

I'll remember Silay City for its grand ancestral houses, the sugarcane fields and San Diego Pro-cathedral's saint with a black bird on his head.

Soft Hues of El Nido, Palawan

Even the sun sets in paradise they say.  Well go ahead, sun. Set if you want. I can enjoy this pastel-colored world for the meantime.

I miss you, beach! Hope to see you soon. :)

Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, Quezon City

Saturday, August 3, 2013

I must be really getting old. Sometimes the city gets too crowded and noisy for me. The queue is too long, the fluorescent lights too bright. Good thing there's always the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife somewhere in QC.

Because sometimes all we need are the happy singing birds, the tall peaceful trees, the calming still waters and nature's perfect lighting.

Sunset at Manila Bay

Thursday, August 1, 2013

My dear Manila,

A lot has been said about you. A lot has been done. You’ve been abused. Used.

But still you give us this. The best view. You give us simple joys. And that, my friend, can never be taken away from you.
